I'd guess the English title is a play on the phrase "The Man Who Counts" (in the sense of 'who matters'), which is also the title of at least one book ( http://www.amazon.com/The-Man-Counts-Poul-Anderson/dp/044151... , a good tale).
也许我读过的最佳虚构描写是保罗·安德森(Poul Anderson)的《The Man Who Counts》:https://www.tor.com/2010/11/22/air-war-in-the-stone-age-poul...
Perhaps the best fictional description I came across is Poul Anderson's The Man Who Counts: https://www.tor.com/2010/11/22/air-war-in-the-stone-age-poul... It's an SF book, you have a small group trying to survive in an alien world at war. The guy who pulls them through is the canny merchant,…
Flatland was highly recommended in homeschooling circles I ran in back in the day. A book that notably does not belong on this list but I read it because I thought it would be mathy has the title The Man Who Counts which I completely misinterpreted and continued to be befuddled by even after I finished reading it, having spent the entire book waiting for the math part of the story that never came.
