The Sense of Style is wonderful but I worry especially that it might be too advanced for relative beginners, and the chapter about sentence diagramming / sentence grouping may be confusing.

这个书单水准有点太敷衍了（low effort）。我读过几十本讲写作的书，在非虚构写作方面，没有哪本比得上 Trimble 的《Writing with Style》。
That is a pretty low effort list. I have read dozens and dozens of books on writing, and for non-fiction nothing beats Writing with Style by Trimble.
