A very broad and versatile writer, Kleinzeit is nth level absurdist, Riddley Walker is a superb post apocalytic novel, The Mouse and His Child is a simple yet deep childrens book about windup toys on the hunt for secret of becoming self winding, and that's just a few off the top of my head. 要是换成 Russell Hoban 的《The Mouse and His Child》，你的体验可能会好很多……
Film critic Roger Ebert wrote that the book was "so banal that it had to be sold to adults; kids would have seen through it." You might have fared better with Russell Hoban's The Mouse and His Child .. it's a cracking search for the secret of being self-winding. http://www.ocelotfactory.com/hoban/mouse.html Failing that, Kleinzeit http://www.ocelotfactory.com/hoban/kleinz.html
我的孙辈们（10 到 13 岁）最近收到了几本书，而且显然爱不释手：Russell Hoban 的《The Mouse and His Child》；Ursula K. Le Guin、Fred Fordham 的《A Wizard of Earthsea: A Graphic Novel》；Lofty Wiseman 的《The SAS Survival Handbook》。
My grandchildren (ages 10 - 13) have been recently given and are apparently somewhat attached to The Mouse and His Child - Russell Hoban A Wizard of Earthsea: A Graphic Novel - Ursula K. Le Guin, Fred Fordham The SAS Survival Handbook - Lofty Wiseman They more or less all cover the search for being self winding.
