[0] - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Good_Man_Is_Hard_to_Find_and...
Pleasant surprise to see my favorite author on HN! If you're interested in her writing as opposed to what she read (what this article if focused on), I'd recommend starting with her short story collection A Good Man Is Hard To Find and Other Stories [0], which includes my favorite short story, the eponymous A Good Man Is Hard To Find.
I read a lot of good ones in school: * Hills like White Elephants by Hemingway * A Good Man is Hard to Find by Flannery O'Connor * Harrison Bergeron by Vonnegut * Most Dangerous Game
I think this is big part of the appeal of "A good man is hard to find" and other Flannery O'Connor works. I don't like gore in cinema and it's really annoying to me that the only works that are narratively interesting are in the horror genre.
