…after) have a more experienced forager/expert validate your IDs. A good resource is also the mushroom identification Reddit. Finally, get a book! I have maybe a dozen, but by far my most used is the The Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Mushrooms by Gary Lincoff. Excellent for identifying mushrooms you're likely to run into, although the scientific names aren't super accurate.
抛开那些暴论不谈,如果你在找优秀的野外采菇指南,我推荐 David Arora 的任何书,比如《All That the Rain Promises and More》和《Mushrooms Demystified》。《国家奥杜邦协会北美蘑菇野外指南》(The National Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Mushrooms)当然也很不错。
Hot takes aside, if you're looking for great foraging books, I'd suggest anything by David Arora, such as "All That the Rain Promises and More" and "Mushrooms Demystified". The National Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Mushrooms is, of course, pretty good too. Outside of identification, "Chanterelle Dreams, Amanita Nightmares" and "Radical Mycology" are good reads too.
Wonderful, thank you. I have here in front of me "The Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Mushrooms" I think Ill read up a bit in there to see what I can find out. (heh saw you in another thread, mr 4/4 (that Kuni Kath architecture vid was interesting) - Paul Stamets is a national treasure - I just…
《奥杜邦协会北美蘑菇野外指南》(Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Mushrooms)明确指出,判断蘑菇能否食用根本没有简单的法则;不像辨别毒葛和毒漆藤那样有“三叶留步”(leaflets three, let it be)这种口诀。
…Lepiota Family (pp. 500-525). Each species is identified as definitely edible, definitely poisonous, or of unknown edibility and not recommended. This latter class was combined with the poisonous one. The [Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Mushrooms] clearly states that there is no simple rule for determining the edibility of a mushroom; no rule like ``leaflets three, let it be'' for Poisonous Oak and Ivy. So that's just the mushrooms in two families,…
Im literally sitting here with "THE AUDUBON SOCIETY FIELD GUIDE TO NORTH AMERICAN MUSHROOMS" - And I am still terrified and amazed with them.
To be fair, even the National Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Mushrooms tells you that if you follow it without knowing what you're doing your going to get poisoned. Not necessarily an AI issue.
