You’ll get enough non-fiction recommendations. Something fictional (barely) and a lot more relaxed: The Remains of the Day, Ishiguro. It’s a chance to think about work/life split, life accomplishments, and professional vs personal identity. If you like that, check out Larry’s Party by Carol Shields.

+ for "The Remains of the Day". Phenomenal work of literature. Truthfully, I can't believe it took it this long for Ishiguro to get the prize.
每当有人问起我都会推：Catch-22《第二十二条军规》East of Eden《伊甸之东》Remains of the Day《长日将尽》Surely You're Joking Mr Feynman《别闹了，费曼先生》这种大家推荐一堆书的帖子很值得翻一翻。
