I found “Aristotle for Everybody” by Mortimer J. Adler to be really great. The topic of the immateriality of the intellect is covered in the last few chapters, but the rest of it is great stuff too.
行吧，顺便说一句（FYI），没有任何哲学背景的人去读亚里士多德的著作完全就是天书。一本很好的入门书是艾德勒写的《人人都能读懂的亚里士多德》（Aristotle for Everybody）。等你把这本消化了，再去读大卫·罗斯写的《亚里士多德》（Aristotle）。然后再去啃亚里士多德原著虐虐脑子吧。
Ok so FYI Aristotles works are completely incomprehensible to someone without a background in philosophy. A good introduction is “Aristotle for Everybody” by Adler. Once you’ve digested that, read “Aristotle” by David Ross. Then hurt your brain by reading Aristotle.
