Angle of Repose, Wallace Stegner
…perspective. Sadly he died young in a motorcycle accident, so we didn't get many examples of his approach. Another modern writer that I think he would have approved of is Wallace Stegner. Crossing to Safety and Angle of Repose are both wonderful.
非虚构类：《好伴侣》（In Good Company）- 斯坦利·豪尔瓦斯；《进入寂静之地》（Into the Silent Land）- 马丁·莱尔德
…moment, but I'll split a couple of top choices via genre. (Also worth noting that in the end, my final choice would probably be the Bible.) Fiction: The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter - Carson McCullers Angle of Repose - Wallace Stegner Non-fiction: In Good Company - Stanley Hauerwas Into the Silent Land - Martin Laird
