…Robinson - Awesome book, full of fun things to talk about with your kids. The BFG - This was the start of the Roald Dahl stage for bedtime reading.. It's a great book, one of my favorite Dahl books. Matilda - Reading this as an adult, it was not nearly as fun as when I was a kid, however my son loved it. The Fantastic Mr. Fox - Fun and easy read for the kids. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - Pretty…
I had no idea The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar was for adults. I read that when I was only eight or so after reading other Dahl books like Matilda and The Witches. I loved the premise.
这让我有点想自己录一版《Charlie and the Chocolate Factory》的有声书。《James and the Giant Peach》当然大受欢迎，《Matilda》也是。
…Dahl with my 5-year-old and it's been delightful. It has kind of made me want to do my own audiobook recording of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. James and the Giant Peach was a hit, of course, as was Matilda. We're doing The Witches right now, which I had never read as a kid. It's kind of at the edge of what my son finds too scary, though. My son has started to notice that all of Dahl's heroes have terrible…
I've been reading some of Roald Dahl's Matilda in Scots (scribd subscription). It's fun!
……谢尔·希尔弗斯坦（Shel Silverstein）的作品，《太阳那么大的披萨》（A pizza the size of the Sun），《选择你自己的冒险》系列（Choose your own adventure books），《大脑袋》（The Great Brain），《棚车少年》（The Boxcar Children）系列，《内裤超人》（Captain Underpants），罗尔德·达尔的书：《圆梦巨人》、《飞天巨桃历险记》、《玛蒂尔达》、《蠢特夫妇》、《查理和巧克力工厂》/《查理和大玻璃升降机》（不如前一本好），《山居岁月》（My Side of the Mountain），《别再有死狗了》（No More Dead Dogs），《秘密花园》，《通往特雷比西亚的桥》（涉及死亡主题，适合稍大一点的孩子）……

Ugh. I liked Matilda. But Steinbeck? Seriously? To each his own I guess. How Matilda would have been a fan of Steinback is beyond me. Much less Austin. Matilda would have been a fan of, er, uh, Dahl. And maybe Oz, Baum, Seuss,…
