原文（OA）的前几段让我想起了《通往权力之路》（Path to Power），也就是罗伯特·卡洛写的林登·约翰逊传记的第一卷。里面关于通电以及它对得州农村女性生活影响的那一章，读起来真是让人大开眼界。
The first few paragraphs of OA brought to mind Path to Power, the first volume of Robert Caro's Lyndon Johnson biography. The chapter on electrification and the impact it had on women's lives in rural Texas is a real eye opener.
