去读读 Mildred D. Taylor 写的《Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry》吧。
…relations sure as hell aren't perfect, they're a far cry better than the era of racial terrorism that lasted until the '60s. You want to see what it was like to be black in the south in the '30s? Go read Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred D. Taylor. Segregation was just the tip of the iceberg. And there's an excellent article out there on what MLK actually did [1]. Or hey, abortion wasn't always legal. Or being able to watch…

……在课程大纲里纳入 Harper Lee 的《To Kill a Mockingbird》、Mark Twain 的《The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn》、John Steinbeck 的《Of Mice and Men》、Theodore Taylor 的《The Cay》以及 Mildred D. Taylor 的《Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry》。
…to include on their curriculum Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird, Mark Twain's The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men, Theodore Taylor's The Cay and Mildred D. The actual memo makes it sound like they’ll likely move these to the supplemental list and add some black authors: https://www.burbankusd.org/cms/lib/CA50000426/Centricity/Dom... This is how the false-equivalence…
One of the books on the list is /Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry/, which is very much not a book written from a white perspective, and as far as I remember is lacking white saviours.
