2) 亚里士多德《形而上学》(The Metaphysics) 3) 康德《任何一种能够作为科学出现的未来形而上学序论》(Prolegomena to Any Future Metaphysics) 4) 大卫·休谟的《人性论》(A Treatise of Human Nature)和/或《人类理解研究》(An Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding) 5) 尼采《快乐的科学》(The gay science,意思是“欢乐的科学”) 6) 路德维希·维特根斯坦《哲学研究》(Philosophical Investigations)……

…been a long time, though. Maybe it's time to reread and then pick up this book! For those interested, the two source texts to consider in light of this book if you don't want to dig too deep, Kant's Prolegomena to Any Future Metaphysics and Schopenhauer's The World as Will and Representation are both public domain and relatively accessible/clear for the subject matter.

This is a hard. Books that made me a better thinker have to be the hard ones / ones that made me change. Top two would be Prolegomena to Any Future Metaphysics, Immanuel Kant. Supposedly more accessible version of Critique of Pure Reason but still very hard and mind-bending for me at least. Not just philosophy was easier after wrestling with this content. The…

…traditionally part of philosophy. In practice there is no real border between philosophy and formal sciences (logic, mathematics, statistics and theoretical computer science). Consider the problem Kant faced in Prolegomena to Any Future Metaphysics, §13. Two objects that are intrinsically alike must be interchangeable. But there are objects that are intrinsically alike and you can't exchange them. Kant was incredible philosopher but he was thrown…

…It's interesting to put that quote in context: "I have always felt it as a stroke of good fortune that early in life, at about the age of fifteen, I lighted, in my fathers library, on a copy of Kant's Prolegomena to any Future Metaphysics. The book made at the time a powerful and inextinguishable impression on me, the like of which I never afterwards experienced in any of my philosophical reading. Some two or three years later the superfluity…
