我专门发过一整篇帖子，讲 Google 应该去一趟皮克斯，借来 Ollie Johnston 和 Frank Thomas 写的那本开山神作《The Illusion of Life》。好好学学动画怎么做 (http://www.blackrimglasses.com/2009/11/29/the-illusion-of-sm...) 两年前的事了！你本以为他们现在早该把动效、手指映射之类的搞定了……
I did a whole post about how Google needs to head over to Pixar and borrow the seminal book "The Illusion of Life" by Ollie Johnston and Frank Thomas. Learn some animation (http://www.blackrimglasses.com/2009/11/29/the-illusion-of-sm...) Two years ago! You'd think they'd get animation, finger mapping, etc down by…
这是一本非常棒且实用的书，不过我觉得它的定位和《Illusion of Life》不同。从另一条回复看，它似乎已经绝版了 :-(
It's a great and practical book, but I'd say it serves a different role than Illusion of Life. I take it from one of the other replies that it's fallen out of print :-(
我想推荐的一本是《The Illusion of Life——迪士尼动画史》，它涵盖了部分商业运作、人物、技术，当然还有电影本身，是我拥有的装帧最精美的书籍之一。https://www.amazon.com/Illusion-Life-Disney-Animation/dp/078...
One i'd recommend is The illusion of life - the history of animation in disney, it covers some of the business, the people and the techniques and of course the movies, and it's one of the most beautiful books I own. https://www.amazon.com/Illusion-Life-Disney-Animation/dp/078...
迪士尼那本动画书（《The Illusion of Life》）非常好，但我见过的最强动画学习资源还是《The Animator's Survival Kit》。可惜的是，配套该书的那些超棒视频对于那些只是随手/有点……
Disney’s animation book (The Illusion of Life) is very nice, but the best animation source I’ve seen anywhere is The Animator’s Survival Kit. Unfortunately the excellent videos that go with the book are pretty expensive for someone who is vaguely…
排名不分先后，也不求全面：Richard Williams 的《Animator's Survival Kit》；Frank Thomas 和 Ollie Johnston 的《Illusion of Life》；Shamus Culhane 的《Animation from Script to Screen》；Kimon Nicolaïdes 的《Natural Way to Draw》；Andrew Loomis 的《Creative Illustration》；《Timing for Animation》……
Not exhaustive, or in any particular order: _Animator's Survival Kit_, by Richard Williams. _Illusion of Life_, by Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston. _Animation from Script to Screen_, by Shamus Culhane. _Natural Way to Draw_, by Kimon Nicolaïdes. _Creative Illustration_, by Andrew Loomis. _Timing for Animation_,…
《Survival Kit》是一本直接切入硬核深水区的进阶书；Frank Thomas 和 Ollie Johnston 的《The Illusion of Life》[1]（这两位曾操刀多部早期迪士尼长片）以及 Preston Blair 的《Cartoon Animation》[2]（创作过无数米高梅动画短片）则能为你打下坚实的基础，在……
Survival Kit is an advanced book that dives into the deep end, The Illusion Of Life by Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnson [1] (two of the guys on a bunch of the early Disney features) and Cartoon Animation by Preston Blair [2] (countless MGM shorts) will give you a solid grounding in the…
