James Clavell
"Shogun" by James Clavell. Really great historical fiction about 16th century Japan. Quickest 1100 pages I've ever read.
I am a total whore for historical fiction: 'Shogun' by James Clavell was the first book I read that had me glued to it for hours and hours at a time. Tai Pan is also a classic. I also found the original three Courtney books by Wilbur Smith (starting…

James Clavell
Shogun by James Clavell. Probably the best fiction book I've ever read. Fascinating characters, amazing descriptions of feudal Japan's culture, society, and philosophy. Great storyline and suspense. Truly…
http://www.amazon.com/Shogun-James-Clavell/dp/0440178002/ref...
No, it's a fiction by James Clavel based on Tokugawa Ieyasu's life. http://www.amazon.com/Shogun-James-Clavell/dp/0440178002/ref... Highly recommended.
James Clavell
Shogun by James Clavell is another great book with the same side effect.
