The Color Purple是美国作家Alice Walker于1982年创作的书信体小说，曾荣获1983年Pulitzer Prize for Fiction和National Book Award for Fiction。

《紫颜色》（The Color Purple）、《使女的故事》（The Handmaid's Tale）、《追风筝的人》（The Kite Runner）等等，根本不是什么碰巧带点猥亵内容的闲书，它们都是文学经典。
It was surprising to me just how many of the banned books have immense literary value. The Color Purple, The Handmaid's Tale, The Kite Runner, etc. aren't random books that may be a little obscene, they're literary classics. In my opinion this is what makes it obvious that these bans were made in bad faith.
Man’s Search For Meaning (Frankl), The Color Purple (Walker), Orbital (Harvey) Not specifically for the HN community but these are the only books I read this year that I would recommend without qualification.
