I’ll second Alex’s recommendations of P. G. Wodehouse (especially Jeeves Stories) and Agatha Christie. A personal favorite of mine is Jules Verne’s Around the World in Eighty Days: https://standardebooks.org/ebooks/jules-verne/around-the-wor...
I learned that Worcester (yes the same a the sauce) is (should be) indistinguishable from Wooster, reading P.G. Wodehouse, in his "Jeeves" stories there is one in which the main character Bertie Wooster says somethign to that effect.
