Hacker News

Also highly recommended along these lines is Stanislaw Lem's Cyberiad (published in 1965): https://www.amazon.com/Cyberiad-Stanislaw-Lem/dp/0156027593 It touches thoughtfully and humorously on: AI, simulations, robotics, ethical and moral questions regarding artificial…

Stanislaw Lem is one of my favorite authors. "His Masters Voice" is one of my favorite books. "Cyberiad" and "Mortal Engines" are also great books but much more playful and probably geared towards a younger audience, even if some of the subject matter is philosophically deep. I think Stanislaw Lem kind…

…Your Scattered Bodies Go by Philip Jose Farmer Dystopian: We by Yevgeny Zamyatin <---highly overlooked, predates 1984 and Brave New World But the Absolute Best would be anything by: Stanislaw Lem (Cyberiad, Futurological Congress, Solaris) Alfred Bester (The STars my Destination, The Demolished Man) or Samuel R. Delany (Babel-17, Dhalgren, Trtion, Nova) oh and Roger Zelazny's Lord of Light and This Immortal…

…Troopers (an example of Heinlein's early phase), but really niche ones toward the end (not many would think Atwood as a SF writer). Two gaping holes: Any SF list that doesn't include Stanislaw Lem (e.g. Cyberiad) is incomplete. Also missing is James Tiptree Jr. (Alice Sheldon), who was Le Guin's mentor (read her Love Is The Plan The Plan Is Death, it'll stay with you for weeks.) Also a series I really enjoyed…

…"gap" between how humans are and what mathematics can tell us about how humans are and behave, it is my opinion I say that those "AI" functionalities will never "become" human enough. Stanislaw Lem's "The Cyberiad" does a much better job compared to me at showing this gap between humans and "machines built on mathematics".

…are there yet. Such kind of artificial mind wasn't created yet. Theoretically though, I don't see why it shouldn't, if it can be created. In regards to creativity of the artificial mind, see also The Cyberiad by Stanislaw Lem.
