Very dangerous, period. While reading the fantastic and highly recommended Washington's Crossing (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0195170342/), it became implicitly clear that the rebellion would have failed if Washington hadn't been a beyond superb horseman. Imagine having to direct battles on…

As it turns out I'm reading Washington's Crossing (http://www.amazon.com/Washingtons-Crossing-Pivotal-Moments-A...) and at the point where I'm at the Hessians are not enjoying the attacks they're receiving from the locals of occupied New Jersey (plus…

I read a book about the Revolutionary War called "Washington's Crossing" by David Hackett Fischer. The wrap-around cover of the book is, appropriately, the iconic painting "Washington Crossing the Delaware" by Emanuel Leutze (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washington_Crossing_the_Delawa...).…

I love that the list includes GS grades for DoD civilians. There's some really interesting books in these lists. I already had Washington's Crossing queued up. Seeing PowerPoint in the title of a GS-14/15 recommendation gave me a chuckle.
