  • …Paul Ciotti 写的《More with Less: Paul MacCready and the Dream of Efficient Flight》。 还有 Malcolm Gladwell 的《What the Dog Saw》(狗眼看世界)。 Douglas 写的《The Mind's I》…

…More with Less: Paul MacCready and the Dream of Efficient Flight by Paul Ciotti. I really enjoyed this one, it was the story of the first team to cross the English channel with human-powered flight. What the Dog Saw by Malcolm Gladwell. I liked this one better than Gladwell's other books. There is less theorizing and arguing a point and more telling stories, which is what Gladwell excels at. The Mind's I by Douglas…

…great storyteller - in both word and voice. And he delivers his own material extraordinarily well. I've listened to all 3 of the books mentioned and am currently enjoying his collection of NYer essays "What the Dog Saw". His essay on Ron Popeil was terrific. Word of warning though ... you might find yourself sad to arrive at your destination and just sit in the car an extra few mins to finish a section!

我最近在读 Gladwell 的新文集《What The Dog Saw》,觉得里面关于“狗语者”(The Dog Whisperer)那篇特别有意思,里面探讨了肢体语言。

…contents, rather than the 5th chapter: http://westsidetoastmasters.com/resources/book_of_body_langu.... I'll save this to read for later - the topic fascinates me. I was reading Gladwell's recent collection, What The Dog Saw, and found the article on The Dog Whisperer very interesting because of its discussions on body language.

——Malcolm Gladwell 的《What the Dog Saw》http://www.gladwell.com/2006/2006_05_22_a_dog.html

…are those who match their phrasing with their communicative intentions—who understand, for instance, that emphasis requires them to be bound and explosive. To Bradley, Cesar had beautiful phrasing." "What the Dog Saw" by Malcolm Gladwell http://www.gladwell.com/2006/2006_05_22_a_dog.html

  • 啊,我还以为这是在梗 Malcolm Gladwell 的那本《What the dog saw》(狗眼看世界)呢。

Aaah I thought it was reference to 'What the dog saw', which is a Malcom Gladwell book. Seems it's also a reference to that film
