If you like Ted Chiang and scifi short stories, consider checking out Jay Lake's Last Plane to Heaven, or Charles Stross's Wireless collection. Short stories are such a fantastic and frustrating format, because the best ones blow your mind and leave you wanting another thousand pages.
Right now, Charlie Stross Wireless, a short story collection. However, what I'm going to read very shortly will be Moby-Dick for the third time; my daughter just read it in her high school English class and it became clear to me that…
