…transformations, representations, vector spaces, matrix methods, etc. Linear algebra knowledge and intuition is key to all things ML, probably even more important than calculus. Book plug: I wrote the "No Bullshit Guide to Linear Algebra" which is a compact little brick that reviews high school math (for anyone who is "rusty" on the basics), covers all the standard LA topics, and also introduces dozens of applications. Check the extended…

…condensed review of high school math, followed by mechanics (PHYS 101) and calculus (CALC I and II). It's not as rigorous as other more proof-oriented textbooks, but it still covers all the material. The No Bullshit Guide to Linear Algebra [2] is all about linear algebra and also includes three chapters on applications, so you'll learn the fundamental ideas but also what they are used for IRL. Both books come with exercises and problem…

  说到书，我的《No Bullshit Guide to Linear Algebra》快完工了。

Speaking of books, my No bullshit guide to linear algebra is almost ready. Anyone taking a linear algebra class with $15 in their pocket should sign up for the prerelease: http://bit.ly/18xPbs9 It starts from the basics and gets to quantum mechanics by then…
