…types, and sibling orders on average don't have identical outcomes. And these differences in outcome by themselves are not unjust, are mere correlations, and therefore do not require fixing. Just read Harrison Bergeron by Vonnegut; it's not long.
…smart person slighted by getting less attention in school? I would argue no. Taking your whole post into account, you might like to read this version of utopia by the late great Kurt Vonnegut titled "Harrison Bergeron": http://www.nationalreview.com/nroriginals/?q=MDllNmVmNGU1NDV...
…fairness can only work by lowering people rather than by promoting them doing what they are best at. Anyone seeking universal fairness & equal outcomes in all aspects of life should read Kurt Vonnegut's Harrison Bergeron as many times as required to change that mindset. http://www.tnellen.com/cybereng/harrison.html "THE YEAR WAS 2081, and everybody was finally equal. They weren't only equal before God and the law. They…

Completely agree. I too, discovered this story around that age, and I have always remembered it with clarity and passion. The other scifi short story I will never forget is Harrison Bergeron by Kurt Vonnegut Jr. Not the same topic, but the same sort of punch in very few words.
