接着看他那本稍微进阶一点的《The Art of Insight in Science and Engineering》[0]。 [0] https://mitpress.mit.edu/books/art-insight-science-and-engin...
Follow that up with his slightly more advanced The Art of Insight in Science and Engineering [0]. I feel like these two books plus Art Benjamin's Secrets of Mental Math [1] would put your Fermi calculation abilities on another level. Sanjoy Mahajan 写的《The Art of Insight in Science and Engineering: Mastering Complexity》。
"The Art of Insight in Science and Engineering: Mastering Complexity" by Sanjoy Mahajan. It beautifully treats estimation and problem solving techniques, illustrated by examples from science and engineering. Instead of aiming for a complete, thorough…
Same for me. The book and its tools are extremely empowering. In general, anything from Sanjoy Mahajan (the author) is extremely insightful: -Street Fighting Mathematics -The Art of Insight in Science and Engineering -Lecture notes on signals & systems (a bit harder to find) -Lecture notes on thermodynamics (real-world insights rather than endless manipulations of weird partial derivatives) Afaik he is currently…
Sanjoy Mahajan 的《The Art of Insight in Science and Engineering》（网上有电子版，https://mitpress.mit.edu/books/art-insight-science-and-engin...）。
Sanjoy Mahajan's The Art of Insight in Science and Engineering (available online, https://mitpress.mit.edu/books/art-insight-science-and-engin...). Takes a very pragmatic look to doing mathematics, while not pulling many punches on how advanced the mathematics gets.…
