Not sure why another comment like that was killed. I found John Keats after reading "Hyperion" by Dan Simmons. I think Simmons also deserves some credit for popularization of John Keats.
…Remembrance of Earth's Past trilogy by Liu Cixin Great Reads: - Seveneves by Neal Stephenson - Glasshouse, Neptunes Brood & Saturns Children by Charles Stross - Rendezvous with Rama by Isaac Asimov - Hyperion by Dan Simmons - A Deepness in the Sky by Verner Vinge The two categories are pretty subjective, due to personal taste but also the fact that all of the concepts in the more recent books were new to…
Vernor Vinge的《A Fire Upon the Deep》、Vernor Vinge的《A Deepness in the Sky》、Vernor Vinge的《The Peace War》、Vernor Vinge的《Marooned in Realtime》、Dan Simmons的《Hyperion》，还有《Mrs. Perkins's Electric Quilt》（一本讲数学和物理问题的趣书）
I basically discovered Vernor Vinge. A Fire Upon the Deep, by Vernor Vinge A Deepness in the Sky, by Vernor Vinge The Peace War, by Vernor Vinge Marooned in Realtime, by Vernor Vinge Hyperion, by Dan Simmons Mrs. Perkins's Electric Quilt, a fun book about some math and physics problems
Hyperion by Dan Simmons. I had an itch for some good epic world-building after finishing the Game of Thrones books and giving up on the next ones being released. Was not disappointed. Structurally, Hyperion…
Hyperion by Dan Simmons would make an /amazing/ miniseries. The narrative structure is apparently based on the Canterbury Tales and so each chapter is fairly self contained with an overarching plot tying the characters…
不算容易读，但你的排除条件基本上排除了《严厉的月亮》（The Moon is a Harsh Mistress）。
…thought-provoking stuff, "Stranger in a Strange Land" by Heinlein. Not the easiest read but your carve-out basically rules out "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress". "Embassytown" by China Mieville. EDIT: I forgot "Hyperion" by Dan Simmons.
