Hawking & Ellis 的《The Large Scale Structure of Space-Time》(时空的大尺度结构)—— 我见过的在数学上最令人满意的广义相对论处理方式。
…to modular forms in a mere 100 pgs! Princeton Lectures in Analysis, Stein & Shakarchi -- 4 books covering much of classical/modern analysis, they really shine in their discussion of applications The large scale structure of space-time, Hawking & Ellis -- The most mathematically satisfying treatment of general relativity I've found. High points include proof of singularity theorems! Spin Geometry, Lawson & Michelson -- Deep dive into…
我也推荐 Hawking 和 Ellis 写的《The Large Scale Structure of Space-Time》。
I would also recommend "The Large Scale Structure of Space-Time" by Hawking and Ellis. It uses some advanced mathematics and some prior knowledge of GR, at least at the level of Schutz or Carroll, is needed, but it is a wonderful book to learn about the global structure…
《The Large Scale Structure of Space-Time》是当之无愧的经典。
…proofs of the singularity theorems, in the last year of my physics degree, after two semesters of differential geometry. Some of the things that people win the Nobel Prize for are genuinely hard. The Large Scale Structure of Space-Time is the classic. However, it's the book that Hawking was referring to in his joke about every equation halving the sales.
我正在读 Hawking 和 Ellis 的《The Large Scale Structure Of Space-Time》。
I'm reading "The Large Scale Structure Of Space-Time" by Hawking and Ellis One question is whether there is a singularity at the "bottom" of a black hole. It seems to me that the gravitational collapse at the singularity of a black hole would match the…
…by journalists who would contact him and the university asking about the paper's connection to the topic, when, of course, it had nothing to do with that. The authors of the Wikipedia article on The large-scale structure of space-time, meanwhile, find it necessary to repeatedly note that is not for a general audience, something not done for something like the phone book / MTW. The reviewer disagrees with the author on when Hawking…
我猜《The Large Scale Structure of Space-Time》可能有点过时了吧 ;)
…null cone over whose event horizon we can't see? Clearly this is a Minkowski spacetime paradigm, and I have no idea where that stands in terms of general favor. Also: further reading? I'm guessing "The large scale structure of space-time" is a bit dated ;)
