《骨钟》（The Bone Clocks）和《雅各布·德佐特的千秋》（The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet）也都是极具娱乐性的小说（另外还有一本短篇小说《斯拉德宅邸》（Slade House）与这两者有微弱关联）。我个人觉得这几本比《云图》更好看。《云图》虽然很棒也是必读之作，但它的效果很大程度上依赖于其叙事结构（这不是贬义，但那种套娃……
The Bone Clocks and The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet are both greatly entertaining novels as well (and tangentially related to both, the shorter novel Slade House). Personally I found these more enjoyable than Cloud Atlas, which is good and a must-read nonetheless, but relies a lot on its narrative structure for its effect (this is not a negative, but the Matryoshka…
