如果你喜欢里尔克，那你肯定也会非常喜欢 James Hollis 1993 年写的《中间转向》（The Middle Passage）。至于过去十年的书，David Brooks 的《品格之路》（The Road to Character）挺不错的。他的续作《第二座山》如果不是从前作里炒了那么多冷饭，本来能写得更好。Sam Harris 的《唤醒》（Waking Up）非常让人大开眼界，Harris 的思维极其清晰敏锐。
If you like Rilke, you'd also really like James Hollis' The Middle Passage (1993). As for as books from the past decade go David Brooks' The Road to Character was pretty good. His follow-up The Second Mountain would have been better if he didn't recycle so much from the previous work. Sam Harris' Waking Up was pretty eye opening as Harris is a very lucid thinker.

The road to character. It's a great reality check, poking into human nature, morality, suffering, all with real life examples and littlz tolerance for bullshit without delusion of grandeur.
