All of Andy Weir's books are really good. There is even a surprising one that's fun. Also recommend Saturn Run, by John Sandford, while we are on this topic.
…start for some, since it's written in space King's English, but what they load in the book is a gem. 2. "Eifelheim" by Michael Flynn. 3. "The Sparrow" by Mary Doria Russell. Wow. She's brilliant. 4. "Saturn Run" by John Sandford (crime novelist) and Ctein. 5. "Hunter's Run" by George R. R. Martin, Gardner Dozois, and Daniel Abraham (from the Expanse) - 30 years in the making. Technically more like second contact,…
Hard sci fi is hard to define for me personally. But, Children of Time by Adrian Czajkowski is worth a look, and maybe Saturn Run by Ctein and John Sanford.
…written by a retired, senior national security advisor to various (USA) Presidents from Nixon on. He was the China expert, who started young, and learned much over his forty(?) year career. Fiction: Saturn Run, by John Sandford. Very exciting, great characters, science fiction with great science. I would call it a modern science fiction novel. Very Refreshing. Science/history/cool: Sunburst and Luminary, by…
Saturn Run, is a really interesting and fun book - by John Sandford. I highly recommend it, as a successful modern science fiction book. That topic is really well covered, with engineers solving all sorts of problems,…
if you want some interesting sci fi. I've just finished "the Saturn Run" by John Sandford and Ctein. One of those stories like Portal 1/2 I'd like to forget and be able re-experience for the first time
