http://www.amazon.com/The-4-Hour-Chef-Learning-Anything/dp/0...
http://www.amazon.com/The-4-Hour-Chef-Learning-Anything/dp/0... is quite fun and as much a book about learning to learn as about cooking. It's sort of a hackers guide to cooking. Or agreed...Jamie is a good start too. One of the original…
Tim Ferriss wrote a book on how to learn things fast. It's called 4 Hour Chef: https://www.amazon.com/4-Hour-Chef-Cooking-Learning-Anything... He gives a lot of tips but it's up to you to test them out and see what works for you.
This reminds me of another book, "The 4 Hour Chef" by Tim Ferriss. Is it the opposite of Modernist Cuisine? I thought of it as practical, not theoretical. Like: learn to chop vegetables. and don't bother measuring stuff, learn how to grab a pinch…
This reminds me of a quip in a New York Times article about Amazon's exclusive book, Timothy Ferriss’s “The 4-Hour Chef:" Those books about finding success without trying too hard were a particular hit with young men, who identified with their quasi-scientific entrepreneurial spirit. The schedule reads like a table of…
