Hacker News

  • ……书目:- Witten 和 Franke 写的《Data Mining》,介绍了基础知识以及如何使用他们开发的 Weka;还有两本 Manning 出版的基于 Java 的书:- Satnam Alag 写的《Collective Intelligence in Action》以及 - Marmanis 和 Babenko 写的《Algorithms of the Intelligent Web》

    …books: - Data Mining, by Witten and Franke; describes basics , how to use Weka, which they wrote a couple java-based books from Manning: - Collective Intelligence in Action (by Satnam Alag) and - Algorithms of the Intelligent Web (Marmanis, Babenko)

Marmanis 写的《Algorithms of the Intelligent Web》和 Satnam Alag 写的《Collective Intelligence in Action》

    the 2 books on amazon's Bought This Item Also Bought" blurb are more rigorous, and quite useful books, also covering topics like Lucene/SOLR with full java code listsings: Algorithms of the Intelligent Web by H. Marmanis Collective Intelligence in Action by Satnam Alag

  • 《Programming Collective Intelligence》是一本好书,但《Algorithms of the Intelligent Web》内容要深入得多,书也更好。

    Programming collective intelligence is good book, but Algorithms of the intelligent web is much more deeper and better book.

  • 我也买了《Collective Intelligence in Action》和《Algorithms of the Intelligent Web》。两本都是 manning.com 出的书。

    I also bougth collective intelligence in action and algorithms of the intelligent web. Both are books from manning.com. I love those 2 books more than programming collective intelligence because I find them more complete and as easy to read.

几本很适合入门的好书包括:《Algorithms of the Intelligent Web》[4]、《Programming Collective Intelligence》[5]、《Collective Intelligence In Action》[6]。 [1]: http://mahout.apache.org/……

    …some combination of Java, Python, C++ and/or R, you'll be in good shape from a programming language standpoint. Check out http://mloss.org/software/ also. Some good books to get started with include: Algorithms of the Intelligent Web[4] Programming Collective Intelligence[5] Collective Intelligence In Action[6] Stanford make a great series of lectures[7] available online that you might find useful. • ……

    …displaying on a map. A stackoverflow post mentioned the book, so I pulled it out and was wowed! Great stuff so far. I like that the code is in python, which I find easier to read than the java examples in Algorithms of the Intelligent Web. Being a perl guy (and a perl shop), python feels pretty similar and it's easy to port anything I need. If the rest of the book is as good as the clustering chapter, it's going to be a fun treat for my…
