  推荐的书我大部分都读过，但要说哪些能带来立竿见影的实在价值，我选这几本：1) 《Clean Code》 2) 《凤凰项目》（The Phoenix Project） 3) 《UNIX and Linux System Administration Handbook》。我敢说第2本肯定有人要和我争辩（耸肩）。不过要是想少走几年弯路，它绝对是必读之作。

  I've read most of the recommended books, but as far as what I think has delivered immediate real value, I'm going to go with: 1) Clean Code 2) The Phoenix Project 3) UNIX and Linux System Administration Handbook I'm sure #2 will be something folks want to fight over shrug. If you want to sidestep years of headache it's a must-read though.

  卧槽。Nemeth 可是《The Unix and Linux System Administration Handbook》的作者啊，那可是有史以来最伟大的 Unix 经典神作之一，跟 Stevens 的书平起平坐的。

  Shit. Nemeth is the author of _The Unix and Linux System Administration Handbook_, which is one of the all-time great Unix books, up there with Stevens.

  ……发行版就更好了。用 Mac 当笔记本也挺好使，但我不觉得能替代亲自折腾各种服务器 OS。再者，你绝对还得读 Limoncelli 的书和 Nemeth 的《Unix and Linux System Administration Handbook》，而且得能配置各种各样的系统服务和应用（sshd、ntpd、SMTP 邮件服务、apache、nginx 等等）。不过，要是你只会安装和配置应用，那你充其量也就是个 scriptkiddie……

  …distros would be even better. Having a Mac as a laptop is also useful but I'm not sure it replaces playing with different server O/Sen. Then, you definitely do also want Limoncelli's book and Nemeth's Unix and Linux System Administration Handbook and be able to configure a wide range of different systems apps (sshd, ntpd, SMTP mailers, apache, nginx, etc). If all you can do is install and configure apps, though, then you're no better than a scriptkiddie…
