Just finished CryoBurn by Lois McMaster Bujold, probably the last in her Miles Vorkosigan series. Any of her works are excellent, but she's (rightfully) best-known for her Miles books.

…system needs to trust that there's another person coming after them who is equally-invested in the projects' success, and at least able to pay the power/maintenance bills. Somewhat aside, the fiction book Cryoburn (a long way through the excellent Vorkosigan saga) does explore some of these issues in the background: The protagonist visits a planet where the frozen citizens have their voting-rights delegated to…

…winning. Unfortunately, I don't think I can even say anything more about this without it being a possible spoiler, but I can think of more ways to write Vorkosigan books even after the final scene of Cryoburn. At least, I certainly hope so.
…Miles back up, there's no doubt I'll have a copy of her next book as soon as Amazon can get it into my hands. If not, I'll be disappointed, but not displeased. And yes, it is really hard to talk about Cryoburn without spoiling the final scene...
