金·史丹利·罗宾逊的《Forty Signs of Rain》《Fifty Degrees Below》《Sixty Days and Counting》
Forty Signs of Rain, by Kim Stanley Robinson Fifty Degrees Below Sixty Days and Counting
Recommended reading: Forty Signs of Rain by Kim Stanley Robinson, plus the two other books in that trilogy: Fifty Degrees Below; Sixty Days and Counting.
…that DVD. It as aged quite well, but I found it annoying that they spent half the movie burning books to keep warm, and yet are sourounded by wooden furniture. On that topic, the book series including 'Fifty Degrees Below' by Kim Stanley Robinson is worth a read. I think I got that reading tip from HN, or maybe it was his Mars triology, which also has some nice planetary science stuff.
…well researched view of how Mars colonization and terraforming might proceed in a realistic way. He also has a trilogy on the possible/likely consequences of runaway global warming (Forty Signs of Rain, Fifty Degrees Below, Sixty Days and Counting) but RGB Mars is definitely better. Edit: "The content of Green Mars and the cover artwork for Red Mars are included on the Phoenix DVD, carried onboard Phoenix, a NASA lander…
