I thought Annihilation is more of a re-thinking of HP Lovecrafts story "The Colour out of Space". You should totally read it, it's fantastically creepy and clearly influenced the film.
我还以为他指的是《更冷酷的战争》（A Colder War），那部作品在我看来完美复刻了当年读洛夫克拉夫特关于星之彩、柱州艾雷姆（Irem of the Pillars）等故事时感受到的刺骨寒意——比其他洛夫克拉夫特拥趸的任何作品都强（包括德莱斯的书，他的作品我实在喜欢不起来）。
I thought he was referring to "A Colder War," which to me replicates perfectly the cold dread I felt when reading Lovecraft's stories about the Colour out of Space, Irem of the Pillars, et al---more so than any of the works by Lovecraft's other fans (including Derleth, whose work I didn't enjoy).

A couple of shorts have escaped me, by happy coincidence (The Colour out of Space and The Shadow out of Time) and I'm keeping them for a special moment.
