我小时候的最爱：《这本书的末尾有只怪兽》（The Monster at the End of this Book）、《小红守车》（The Little Red Caboose）。给娃读的最爱：《打嗝的河马》（The Hiccupotamus）、《亲爱的动物园》（Dear Zoo）、《史尼奇》（The Sneetches）、《救难小猪美西》（Mercy Watson to the Rescue）、《皮特猫》（Pete the Cat，比如《我爱我的白球鞋》或《他的四个帅纽扣》）。
Favorites When I Was Younger: The Monster at the End of this Book The Little Red Caboose Favorites to Read to Kids: The Hiccupotamus Dear Zoo The Sneetches Mercy Watson to the Rescue Pete the Cat (I Love My White Shoes or His Four Groovy Buttons) Favorite Authors: Mo Willems, Sandra Boynton
What's really sad is that now even children's BOOKS are now mainly a promotional channel for TV shows and toys. Book characters like Pete the Cat or whatever exist mainly to prime children to desire the Pete the Cat toys.
When my son was around that age he liked Daniel Tiger books. Then Pete the Cat. Catstronauts. Looking at what I just wrote I should probably get him more cat books.
For my five year old, we have been rate limited on overdrive reading Pete the Cat and Franklin books. Partly because the selection is woeful (about 20 English books) compared to IA's thousands in that category.
…times. - Many of the “Construction Site” series books, especially the OG “Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site”. The “Garbage Crew” and “Airport” books featured heavily. - Started to mix in some “Pete the Cat” titles. - “Detective Dog Nell” got a lot of air play. Lots of others, but those are definitely the frequent fliers.
