作为 Gelfand School Program 系列丛书的一部作品，《Trigonometry》是由两位经验丰富的大学预科教师合作编写的成果，其中一位 I.M. Gelfand 被公认为当世最杰出的数学家之一。他对几代年轻人的深远影响至今仍令人瞩目，其中不少人如今已成为知名数学家。《Trigonometry》通过精美的插图和生动的示例全面涵盖了该学科的所有基础知识。三角函数的定义均带有几何动机。几何关系被改写为三角形式并加以拓展。
