……关于这本书的评价，所以我确信它很棒。它使用的语言（Oz）在语法上有点古怪，但非常强大。另一本最近很棒的书（虽然有点偏形式化）是 Gifford 和 Turbak 的《Design Concepts in Programming Languages》。（又一本 1000 多页的巨著！！——通往编译器大神之路需要啃下太多上千页的大部头了！）。我正在死磕这本，读得非常过瘾。希望能在这个年底前读完。
…things about this book so I am sure it is great. The language it uses (Oz) is a bit flaky wrt syntax but VERY powerful. Another recent lovely book, though a bit on the formal side is Gifford and Turbak'S Design Concepts In programming languages. (Another 1000 + pages !! - the road to compiler gurudom has many 1000 page books to work through!).I am working though this and I am enjoying it thoroughly. I hope to finish it by the end of this year.

I enjoyed this post - but I don’t feel like it added much beyond SICP itself and also one of my favorite books, Design Concepts in Programming Languages (Turbak et al.)
