One of the books linked within is interesting https://www.amazon.com/Reckoning-David-Halberstam-ebook/dp/B... I read it sone years ago, and its very very interesting.
根据 David Halberstam 的《The Reckoning》，情况比那还糟——可能现在还是。高管的汽车一开进公司就被送进维修车间，根据需要重新调整。每天如此。更别提什么吃自家狗粮了……
According to The Reckoning by David Halberstam, it was sort of worse than that--may still be. Executives' cars were put into the service bay as soon as they drove into work, and readjusted as needed. Daily. A more non-dogfood…
I am quite sure that it is not facetious. A very interesting bit of history of work ethic is discussed in David Halberstam's book The Reckoning in which when the auto industry began to take hold in Japan, the workers there could not understand how hard the Americans worked--three shifts? Working in the middle of the night? Now, it might seem…
